Film on Dr. Ambedkar’s principles
Writer-director Inderpal Singh's movie ‘Rashtra’ deals with the burning issue of reservation and caste politics and the principles of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar. The film has Dalit leaders Ramdasbhau Athawale and Raju Shetty in special appearances along with Vikram Gokhale, Mohan Joshi, Ganesh Yadav, Milind Gunaji, Sanjay Narvekar, Rohini Hattangadi, Yatin Karyekar and Deepak Shirke. The film has music of veteran composer Nikhil Kamath.

‘Shoor Aamhi Sardaar’ all set to hit theatres
Australia-based writer Ganesh Loke’s ‘Shoor Aamhi Sardaar’ is all set to release on April 21. The film has veteran actor Sanjay Mone in the stellar role of wanted terrorist Hafiz Saeed. The film has been directed by Prakash Jadhav and has actors like Ganesh Loke, Shantanu Moghe, Bharat Ganeshpure and Sayaji Shinde in important roles. The film plot revolves around three young men who face terrorism and fight against it.

Dhanashri to star in ‘Braveheart’
TV star Dhanashri will soon be seen in Dasbabu’s film ‘Braveheart’ where she has an important role. The film produced by Sachidanand K and Santosh M also has Sangram Samel in the lead role along with Arun Nalawde, Atul Parchure, Sulabha Deshpande, Kishore Pradhan, Dr. Vilas Ujavne, Vijay Chavan and Illa Bhatte feature in stellar roles. The film releases in April.

An ode to Kathak
Every dance form comes with its special character. Kathak too has always retained its form, beauty and substance through the ages. 'Vivarta', choreographed by the legendary Kathak exponent, Padma Bhushan, Kumudini Lakhia narrates the actual Bols of the Kathak vocabulary and highlights the movement patterns of the classical technique of Kathak dance. The function will be held at Tata Theatre, NCPA on Saturday (March 25) at 7.00 pm.
