97th Marathi Natya Parishad Sammelan to be held in Osmanabad

The 97th Marathi Natya Parishad Sammelan will be held in Osmanabad on April 7, 8 and 9 which was announced by the Natya Parishad Chief Mohan Joshi and Secretary Deepak Karanjikar and senior producer Lata Narvekar and Osmanabad theater worker Vinod Shinde. Veteran thespian stage actor Jayant Savarkar will be felicitated at the meet with a Lifetime Achievement Award for his meritorious service to theater. In his speech, Jayant Savarkar thanked the Natya Parishad for honoring him and said that it was indeed a huge award for a small actor like him.

He added that he has been a part of the Sammelan for the last 45 years and it was great to see that theater lovers still like him enough to take his autographs regularly in spite of him being a supporting actor but one who has 365 days of his year being devoted to theatre. He revealed that theatre lovers see their favorite actors on television and it is a dream come true for them to see these actors in person. Many theatre leaders and activists were present on the occasion when the schedule of the Natya Sammelan was announced.
