Real voices of Mumbai

Unauthorised parking of commercial heavy vehicles including trucks and luxury buses occupies around 50% of the road posing a big threat and a hazard to commuters. What is your opinion?

Ashutosh Dhadwad
(Social worker)

There is no proper arrangement for parking of heavy vehicles. So people park them wherever they get space thereby reducing the width of roads and thus leading to congested roads.

Riyaz Ansari
(Student)

According to me it causes a lot of inconvenience for other commuters. Roads become narrow and the remaining space is occupied by other small vehicles and there is no place left for people to walk.

Aditi Deshapnde
(Self employed)

Some drunkards and druggies take shelter under these vehicles or hide behind them to carry out their shady activities thereby posing a threat to other people especially, women and girls.

Karan Patil
(Photographer)

Parking of heavy vehicles makes it difficult for other vehicles to move around.

Ashok Ubale
(Businessmen)

Some heavy vehicles occupy more than enough space, sometimes even damaging the roads to a great extent.

Ketan Andhale
(Student)

Heavy vehicles that are used for construction are also parked on roads sometimes making it very inconvenient for people.
