With just two days left for the Sankranti festival, a family at Kalyan is busy making the Halwa or sugar beads which are tiny white and orange/yellow colored sweet balls with tiny spikes on them - usually served along with til gul. They also have another use – in making jewellery – called as Halwyache dagine or jewellery made of halwa.
