Shri. Kamal Morarka created 'ROAR' is a collection of wildlife photographs taken by him over the past 20 years. The images were taken at various wildlife sanctuaries across India and even at a few abroad. Bagwagad in Madhya Pradesh, Kanha National Park, Pench National Park, Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary and Gir in Gujarat, are some of the captivating locations where the wildlife images were shot.
Images of tigers, a favourite in the animal kingdom for Shri. Morarka, feature heavily in the stunning collection. A rare image in the book is the treasured photograph of the Siberian Cranes. The image was taken long before the days of environmental change and degradation that have sadly curbed the beautiful birds annual migration to India from the Arctic Tundra regions.
'ROAR' is published by Sanctuary Magazine and the event was hosted by the Sanctuary Nature Foundation.
The book has a preface by Mr. Pritish Nandy and an introduction by Mr. Bittu Sahgal.
At the event, Shri.Thackeray, launched 'ROAR' and congratulated Shri. Morarka on the stunning captures.
