Found dead under mysterious circumstances but Police register ADR, family members suspect foul play

A 22-Year-old Vakola-based youth was found dead under mysterious circumstances in the Iznuma commercial building complex in Goregaon (East) on Wednesday afternoon. He had left his home to get a suitable job in the morning but late in the evening his family members got details about his death.

According to Police sources, the deceased Yogendra Singh, a resident of Vakola was a jobless youth and lived with his parents. On the day of the incident he told his mother that he was going for an interview in Iznuma Building, when he did not turn up till afternoon, his mother contacted him and asked him about his interview.

He told his mother that the interview was not completed yet and informed her that he will be back soon.  At about 8.30 pm when he had not contacted his mother, his family members become worried and attempted to call  him on his mobile phone, but his number was not reachable.

After some time a constable reached his home and contacted his mother asking her to reach Siddharth Hospital, saying some sort of accident had taken place.

Later, when his family members reach the hospital they found his dead body. Cops revealed that he committed suicide by jumping from the 10th floor and it is suspected that when he did not get the job.  He took the drastic step in sheer frustration.

But when his family members found his body, they refused to accept that their son  commited suicide by jumping from the 10th floor. If he jumped from the 10th floor the family members contended that  that they should be considerable damage to his body. But strangely there were no major marks excluding scratches on the body, due to which they suspected that he had not committed suicide, and rather someone had killed him.

During the investigation, police were puzzled about which specific floor he came for the interview and in which office too.  The cops recovered his body from the stationary generator inside the commercial complex. No other clue was found and the cops will now check the CCTV footage of the entire complex to ascertain the exact cause of death.

On the basis of primary information, an Accidental Death Report (ADR) has been registered by Bangur Nagar police and further investigation is in progress based on the family members’ allegation, police added.
