9th Edition of India Nuclear Energy 2017

French Ambassador to India Alexandre Ziegler today said that financial and technological issues as well as differences over fixing responsibility for the construction of the proposed 10,000 MW nuclear power plant at Jaitapur in Maharashtra are "being well negotiated". "The size of the project is massive and there have been certain issues that had to be negotiated between both the countries, be it over cost or financing or the nuclear liability law," Ziegler said at the launch of the 9th edition of India Nuclear Energy (INE) organised by UMB India in Mumbai yesterday.

“Nuclear is a closed door industry. Over the last few years, India has largely lived up to its commitment of discovering and utilising peaceful sources of Nuclear Energy while at once augmenting its nuclear generation capacity and striving to make it a home-grown one.  Simultaneously, the INE has also grown in stature as the only expo in India exclusively dedicated to supporting and promoting the civil nuclear energy industry in the country,” said Rajneesh Khattar, Group Director, UBM India.

The main object of the event is to bring like minds together and provide a platform to nuclear companies to fulfill India's energy needs. INE 2017 has brought together prominent thought leaders, organizations and professionals from across the globe to discuss the future, latest developments, business opportunities, policies and procedures in the Indian Civil Nuclear Energy market. he added.

UBM India, India’s leading exhibitions organiser, yesterday launched the special 9th edition of its flagship international exhibition and conference, India Nuclear Energy (INE) for the civil nuclear energy domain. The two day show, taking place between Nov 9 –10, 2017, at Nehru Centre, Worli, is the only expo exclusively dedicated to supporting and promoting the civil nuclear energy industry in the country.
