Born with a creative bent of mind, Chitwn D Malhotra always had a burning desire to achieve something big in life. The sheen of glittering ornaments always mesmerized her. At the tender age of 21, Chitwn introduced Dillano Luxurious Jewels Ltd, which is a part of 1500 crore Malhotra group. An alumnus of Gemmology Institute of America and a recipient of 'Best Innovative Designs and Techniques' by World Gold Council, Chitwn Malhotra beautifully infuses nature, beauty, luxury, creativity, style and individuality in all her creations. In conversation with Dominic Rebello, Chitwn, who boasts of an impressive foreign clientele of distinguished dignitaries and celebrities says, “Designing jewellery has given me freedom, what everything else failed to do.”

What is the idea behind Dillano Luxurious Jewels?
The endeavor has always been to venture innovation through jewels in Indian and International market. Presenting the beautiful blend of precious jewels and metals in illustrative designs that represents nature and art to women.

How big is the potential for a business like yours?
The gems & jewellery sector in India has a lot of potential. The industry is competitive and fast growing. The organized jewelers have more potential to make available innovation and ongoing trending jewellery to patrons. The likelihood of customization offered by organized players has get them loyal customers who value their choices.

Though the unorganized sector captures the Indian market and has its own set of loyal customers. But the growing fashion sense is making people aware; the dynamic change in their preferences has made them to go for branded stuff. Hence the organized jewellery retailers have a potential to meet the customers demand and make it feasible.

How do you plan to scale up?
We plan to expand and grow substantially in other cities as well. As online retailing is progressing, we plan to market ourselves online to reach masses in the coming years. With an aim to enter International market we focused to showcase a miscellany of contemporary and traditional jewellery in Dubai and attained an identity amongst the royals.

Modern women who are a fashion aesthete
Women who love to explore the latest jewellery trends
Women who admire traditional jewellery and one who look for innovation

Where do you see yourself five years down the road?
With over 10 years of experience in jewellery creation and design, Dillano tugs the heart of thousands of women all across India and abroad through its avid participation in various national and international jewellery exhibitions and lifestyle shows and has achieved new heights.

We look forward to evolve and position as one of the most trustable & leading name in the jewellery industry in India as well as International. We entered Dubai market in March and held a preview of our collection the Royals. We further plan to exhibit & organize such successful preview for our patrons and aim to be a high-end jewellery brand which offers value to women.
