cloudBuy, the global provider of cloud-based B2B emarketplaces, has agreed to develop a B2B marketplace for the Government of Gujarat. This will extend the accelerating growth of one of India’s fastest growing states, supporting SME’s and larger organisations alike.

The e-marketplace will be used to promote the businesses of Gujarat on one single platform, where members would trade with each other and across India and globally. The project has been developed to support Indian Government initiatives such as the ‘Make in India’ drive, which aims to turn India into a global manufacturing hub.

The creation of this new emarketplace will create jobs within Gujarat through the creation of technical call centres to help businesses upload and optimise their content. Each company that registers for this marketplace will be given the opportunity to list their company details along with products and services online, promoting their business to a much wider audience. Full access to support & reporting to be provided to maximise their growth through ecommerce sales. The emarketplace is built on the secure cloudBuy platform, which is ISO 27001 and PCI DSS Level 1 certified, offering peace of mind for buyers and sellers alike.

cloudBuy is a leading technology company within the B2B emarketplace space, with number of marketplaces globally. It has already partnered with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to deliver an emarketplace to its members and connect them with a new global audience.

VISA AP, partnering with cloudBuy, will facilitate transactions on the new Gujarat marketplace via purchase cards, a concept that is still new in India. Gujarat will also become the first state in India to create an initiative to digitise its trade. Longer term the emarketplace will provide the content for state eprocurement initiatives to drive efficiency and transparency in the supply chain. “This B2B marketplace will not increase the trade for businesses in Gujarat, but also boost employment opportunities in ecommerce and associated service sector. With B2B trading opportunities being much bigger and faster now, the businesses of Gujarat will immensely benefit both in terms of revenue growth and reaching out to far wide audience here in India and globally. I’m extremely excited to be a part of this marketplace initiative of Gujarat” said Nilesh Gopali, cloudBuy, country head – India.

Aries (Mar 21 - Apr 20)You could be running behind schedule in a certain assignment. In your anxiety to get things done in a hurry you could end up over looking some important details. Your plans to make up for lost time at home could also run into some rough weather because of the attitude of a family member. Try not to be overly sensitive with loved ones but look on the positive side of all that you have. Perhaps you are taking a lot for granted.
