Railway Minister Piyush Goyal holds a review meeting of Mumbai Division
Piyush Goyal, Minister of Railways and Coal held a review meeting of Mumbai Divisions of Central and Western Railways at Mumbai Central recently. S.K. Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai Division, Central Railway gave a presentation in presence of D.K. Sharma, General Manager, Central Railway. The Minister expressed satisfaction over the performance of Mumbai Division.

Western Railway celebrates 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi
A.K.Gupta, General Manager of WR and Senior officers are seen participating in Mission Satyanishtha event at WR HQs-Churchgate. As the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi was observed by entire Nation & the world, the Western Railway too, which has the distinction of Bapu's birth place Porbander and other historical places like Sabarmati etc in its jurisdiction, celebrated this historical event on 2nd October, 2018 at a grand scale, as 12 stations on WR, frequently visited by Mahatma Gandhi, were specially decorated.

World Tourism Day
World Tourism day was held at IMC recently. Ltd., amongst others were present at the event.

Dhruv Consultancy bags order’s worth Rs 22.76 cr
Dhruv Consultancy Services Ltd, has been awarded LOA’s (Letter of Acceptance), for four different packages totaling to Rs. 22.76 crore for consultancy services as Authority Engineer. In the current financial year from April 2018 to date, they have been awarded total of 12 new orders worth Rs. 48.96 crore. Thus, taking its total outstanding order book to Rs. 242.94 crore. Commenting on the orders Tanvi Auti, Managing Director, Dhruv Consultancy Ltd said “The award win is in line with our expectations. And it also indicates the focused shift towards Authority Engineer works, which have better margins and higher profitability. With the outstanding order book, we would be able to surpass the targets set for the year.”

WUD students shine at FOAID 2018
A team of students from World University of Design, mentored by a faculty member won the 'Expressions' art installation competition at Festival of Architecture and Interior Designing (FOAID) as silver winners. Maintaining its reputation of bringing creative minds from across the country, FOAID provided a common platform for stalwarts and future designers to interact on newer facets of the design fraternity. The theme of the competition was to celebrate 5 years of FOAID by using 5 elements in the installation. Speaking about the installation, Dr. Sanjay Gupta, Vice Chancellor, World University of Design said, “It was astonishing to see the dedication and commitment shown by these budding designers for this competition. Starting from concept generation, material sourcing, working with various tools and techniques, fixing till finishing, everything was done by them with their hands.”  

Shriram Life Insurance bags SKOCH Awards
Private Life Insurer Shriram Life Insurance Company has bagged two prestigious SKOCH Awards for the company’s contribution to “Life Insurance distribution to Aam Aadmi” and the other Silver Award is also for “Life Insurance Distribution to Aam Aadmi”.

IITDAA, National President Atul Bal was hourned at a Startup Investor Meetup, in Mumbai by Parag Jain Nainutia, CMD, MSETCL. Jain is also President, IITDAA, Mumbai Chapter, On this occasion Jain said that we are looking forward to join hands with VC funds and Startups to promote entrepreneurship and investments among our alumni. IMC’s Skill Development Committee organized a half day Workshop on Right to Information Act (RTI) with Bhaskar Anant Prabhu, Convenor of Mahiti Adhikar Manch. Present at the event was Ajit Mangrulkar, Director General IMC. Bhaskar Anant Prabhu deliberated about the recent development of RTI in which the GOVT has become more responsive to its citizens, the seminar was in exercise to reinforce the power of information to seek for the welfare of the community.

ECGC contributes Rs.1 crore to Kerala CMs Distress Relief Fund
Geetha Muralidhar, CMD of ECGC handing over a cheque of Rs. 1 cr to Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan. Also seen are PSK Kumar, Branch Manager Kochi Branch (right) and Kameshwar Rao, Branch Manager Kollam Branch. Muralidhar said that as a humble gesture towards the fellow countrymen, ECGC has decided to contribute to the State to aid in their efforts.
