Inspection of GM CR at Badlapur, Ambernath, Kalyan and Parel stations

D.K. Sharma, General Manager, Central Railway conducted an inspection at Badlapur, Ambernath and Kalyan Stations and also reviewed passenger amenities, monsoon preparations and cleanliness at these stations. He instructed that encroachments at Badlapur to be cleared immediately and officers and staff to complete all works related to cleanliness in a time bound manner. During the inspection, the General Manager was accompanied by S.K. Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai.

W.Rly celebrates 'World Environment Day'

On the occasion of 'World Environment Day', Bio gas plant at Mumbai Central was inaugurated in the presence of A.K. Gupta, General Manager, W.Rly.
This year India is the global host to World Environment Day with the theme being "Beat Plastic Pollution". It was observed at Western Railway, all across its jurisdiction with great fervor and enthusiasm to bring about awareness and improvement to environment and contribute towards the noble cause.

W.Rly observes 'Safety Awareness Week' & "International Level Crossing Awareness Day"

Volunteers are seen counseling the vehicle drivers at railway level crossings at Bhomeshwar Road and spreading awareness regarding the necessary precautions which are required to be taken.

To mark the International Level Crossing Awareness Day on June 7, 2018, Western Railway undertook a number of activities across all six divisions to educate people about the dangers of crossing unmanned and manned railway level crossings without caution. Western Railway observed safety awareness week from 1st June to 7th June, 2018. Railways have undertaken various measures to spread the message for the safety of railway passengers as well as road users, especially those who use the level crossings.

WRWWO observes World Environment Day

On the occasion of 'World Environment Day', a Nukkad Natak enacted at Churchgate station to put forth the message to commuters on caring for our environment. Environment friendly cloth bags were also distributed to women employees, by Archana Gupta, President, WRWWO on this occasion.

PG Garodia students observe ‘World Environment day’

Students of Mumbai’s leading ICSE School PG Garodia, Ghatkopar observed ‘Environment day’. This initiative inculcated a sense of awareness and action for the protection of environment amongst the students. Mitali Rudra, Principal, PG Garodia School (ICSE) said, “This year, we at Garodia in our own little way are trying to protect our city and future generation by planting more saplings. We are extremely greatful to the Forest department who has helped us in our endeavour”.

Snehal Muzoomdar appointed Insync Channel Director

India - Italy Students Exchange Program

Students of Ryan International School, Mumbai had a cultural exchange with the Theater Werkstatt Zitronengelb, Brixen, Italy from May 20-27, 2018. It was a wonderful opportunity for the students to visit the scenic landscape of South Tyrol. The trip was organized under the guidance of Chairman Dr. AF Pinto and Madam Grace Pinto. They strongly believe that students should travel and explore different cultures that will broaden their horizons this globalized world. As a part of the exchange students visited Munich for an educational and historical guided tour. They visted the Alte Pinakothek, Odeonsplatz , Max-Joseph-Platz: Nationaltheater, Marienplatz, Karlsplatz – Stachus and Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
