The Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (CRWWO) under the Presidentship of Mamta Sharma has always been at the forefront of Social Service with its various social programmes on almost all occasions. On the occasion of International Labour Day, The Central Railway Women’s Welfare Organisation (CRWWO) felicitated 18 deserving Group ‘D’ Employees at a function on May 2, 2018 at New Officers’ Club, Nirmal Park.

Sanjay Mishra takes over as New Divisional Railway Manager

Sanjay Mishra has taken over as new Divisional Railway Manager of Mumbai Division of Western Railway on May 3, 2018. He is a senior officer of Indian Railways Traffic Services of 1989 batch. He has wide experience in planning and has worked as Chief Traffic Planning Manager on Northern and Eastern Railways.

To mark the International Workers’ Day on 2nd May 2018, Western Railway Women’s Welfare Organization held a felicitation programme in honour of meritorious railway employees. 34 deserving and meritorious employees were given cash awards and gift hampers in appreciation for their hard work and years of sincere services to the Western Railway.

A. K. Gupta, General Manager, Western Railway inspected Jagjivan Ram Hospital along with senior railway officers recently. He visited all the wards and interacted with OPD and indoor patients to assess the satisfaction of the services provided in the hospital.

W.Rly's Mumbai Division records highest ever earnings from ticket checking
Western Railway's Mumbai division has created a new record of highest ever earnings from ticketless and irregular travellers during the month of April, 2018. The month wise target was 1.35 lakh in terms of total cases and Rs 6.08 crore in terms of earnings while, there has been a 5.25% increase in cases and 15.34% in amount realized than the set target. A.K. Gupta, GM and Raj Kumar Lal, Principal Chief Commercial Manager of W. Rly has appreciated this exemplary performance and has congratulated Sanjay Mishra, Divisional Railway Manager & Aarti Singh Parihar, Sr. Divisional Commercial Manager of Mumbai Division alongwith their entire team of Commercial department for this new record.

Mumbai Police raids Online Retailer for selling Counterfeit HP Products


With a view to fight the growing menace of counterfeit products being sold to hapless consumers online, and to protect the brand value of Hewlett Packard, the leading technology brand in the country, HP conducted raid with the assistance of Mumbai Police at the office and storage facility of HTP Retail in Vasai East. More than 100 packed HP counterfeit toner cartridges, 840 HP ink bottles and sizeable quantities of packaging material have been seized during the raid. Fake HP products were being shipped to multiple addresses across India from the mentioned units. The raid team comprised of law enforcement agents who identified the counterfeit goods. A First Information Report (FIR) has been registered against the counterfeit firms and the raid action is conducted by Virar Police Station. The said unit was selling the counterfeit HP products on online platform, including the government portal.

Kieron Pollard inaugurates new Cricket Wing at NAS

Kieron Pollard, the medium pace bowler and big-hitting batsman from Mumbai Indians visited the New Ahmedabad Store (NAS), Mumbai yesterday for a sales promotion event organized by Sareen Sports (SS). He also inaugurated a new Cricket Wing at the store. One of the oldest sports store in Mumbai, after the recent expansion the venue will be one of the largest sports stores in Mumbai. Eruch Patel, Managing Partner, New Ahmedabad Sports, says, “We are extremely delighted to have Kieron celebrate his birthday and interact with his fans at our store. This visit also gave us an opportunity to have Pollard inaugurate our new dedicated area for Cricket.”
