93 Years of EMU Service on CR

Electric Multiple Unit (EMU) suburban local has completed 93 years of its service on Central Railway. It was on 3.2.1925 the first EMU service with 4-cars was introduced from the then Bombay VT (now Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus Mumbai) and Coorla (now Kurla) via harbour line, a first on Indian Railways.

GM CR Inspects Mumbai Division

D.K. Sharma, General Manager, Central Railway along with Principal Heads of Departments of Central Railway, A.K. Jain, Commissioner of Railway Safety (Central Circle) and S.K. Jain, Divisional Railway Manager, Mumbai Division conducted annual inspection of Mumbai Division on February 4, 2018. D.K. Sharma inspected the PRS and Booking office, permanent way gang, mail loco pilot running room and inaugurated Building Energy Management System at Igatpuri.

EGLO now in Mumbai
