The on-screen ‘uncanny connect chemistry’ of Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon in the just launched trailer of the upcoming ‘Raabta’ directed by Dinesh Vijan, is being widely appreciated.
“Although it’s our first pairing together, it’s as if we know each other since ages. Sometimes there is this ‘unexplained connection’ and it shows. And my multi-layered screen-character ‘Shiv’ is someone I always wanted to play,” said ‘method actor’ Sushant, whose convincing performance as cricketer M.S.Dhoni was critically acclaimed in the recent commercial biopic.
“Actually, ‘Shiv’ has a lot of ‘cheesy’ repartees in the dialogues and Sushant still has that hangover,” said Kriti Sanon who also revealed that Sushant has a ‘wow’ reaction when he sees chocolates, ice-creams and little babies. “If you ever wish to ‘pataao’ him, just offer him chocolates and ice-cream,” said Kriti who discloses that strangely, director Dinesh had narrated her the first scene of ‘Raabta’ even before she had started on her maiden movie ‘Heropanti’.
Was the outspoken Rajput also expecting ‘Raabta’ movie to cross the Rs 100 crore mark? With a chuckle he reacts, “Honestly, I didn’t get anything from the crore bonanza. But then I finalise money matters before I start the shoot. Like I enjoyed playing my dual contrast characters in this movie ‘Raabta’ with an undercurrent of reincarnation but it’s shown from both sides-- the credible and the sceptical. And I got this amazing opportunity for awesome high-octane action, that too in the midst of adverse heavy rains and floods,” the actor added.
