Although,  quintessential Bollywood beauty Manisha Koirala  is synonymous with the R D Burman-composed iconic song ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha’ extolling her charismatic features,  from the milestone movie ‘1942-A Love Story’ (1994) directed by Vidhu Vinod Chopra.

There is ‘ek aur charming ladki’  currently waiting to waltz into the Bollywood limelight. Stunning southside regional actress Regina Cassandra will now be co-starring  with Rajkummar Rao in this movie titled ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Lagaa’.

Incidentally this venture which boasts of the casting coup of Sonam and her real-life dad Anil Kapoor,  is being directed by debutante director Shelly Chopra Dhar, who happens to be Vinod Chopra’s sister. Apparently, gen-now audiences  will also get to experience the iconic song  ‘Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Lagaa’ being reprised for this new movie.

Hailed as  one of the finest performers-dancers among the young actresses from the south, ravishing Regina has acted in over two dozen regional (mostly Telugu and Tamil) films. Among her diverse roles, she is remembered for her blockbuster hit Telugu movie ‘Power’, where she played a Bengali girl. Incidentally this movie was produced by Rockline Venkatesh,  the co-producer of  the Salman Khan-starrer ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’.

Meanwhile, Regina is delighted with her Bollywood break-through and hopes to personally meet and also share screen-space with iconic senior stars like Amitabh Bachchan, whom she calls “an amazing human being”.
